In Your Atmosphere

This is one of my favourite songs from a very influential musician in modern day music. John Mayer is unique in that he has completely developed his own unique style of rhythm and soul unmatchable to anyone else. His songs seem simple chordal-wise, but its those little, tricky, unique notes and flicks, that only if mastered, can you recognize the song as one of Mayers'.

This song, In Your Atmosphere, was reportedly written very early in his career, although it was never published until his live concert named Where The Light Is. This song speaks of the pain he faces when returning to the town in which the girl who hurt him resides. It has many relatable lines of the heartache one faces when dealing with a painful goodbye.

"Wherever I go whatever I do
I wonder where I am in my relationship to you
Wherever you go whatever you are
I watch your life play out and take pictures from a far"

Mayer combines his own mix of blues, rock, acoustic and pop into each song to make a style completely of his own.

I highly recommend checking out this concert very much. It is fantastic for any mood, time, day, or place. You can check it out here
